Gerald Bedri Sherman is a seasoned corporate executive, global consultant, and entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience across the United States, Africa, Europe, and Asia. As President and CEO of The Raising Africa Group LLC, a Liberian-owned holding company, he leads a diverse portfolio spanning media, advertising, management consulting, and strategic communications. The group’s flagship, Kwesé Liberia, delivers mobile and satellite media services offering international and local content to audiences across platforms.
Gerald’s executive leadership spans major organizations such as Hollard Insurance and Liberty Financial Services Group in South Africa, where he advanced customer management and built a people solutions practice for nearly 1,400 employees. In the U.S., he has held leadership roles with Columbia Residential, Marriott International, Chiquita Brands, and others. He played a pivotal strategic role in Liberia’s 2005 presidential election, supporting both Ellen Johnson Sirleaf’s historic victory and Winston Tubman’s campaign.
A Saint Augustine’s College and Georgia State University alumnus, Gerald is a proud Alpha Phi Alpha member, father of two, and great-grandson of Liberia’s 15th President, Arthur Barclay.
